Born on May 7, 1914, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. Seymore Hancock and Honor Elizabeth (Felmet) Hancock.
She was a retired hair stylist and of the Presbyterian faith.
Mrs. Damron was the last surviving of her immediate family and is survived by a number of great-nieces and nephews.
At Mary's request, no services were held. She was buried beside her husband in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
