He was born September 18, 1930 in Cass, Arkansas to Sam W. and Dorothy Stevens Rogers.
He was a Baptist, retired from the U.S. Forrest Service and enjoyed farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bud Rogers.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2013 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ozark with Reverend Derral Schlinker officiating, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Madelyn Wells Rogers of Ozark; one daughter, Debbie Walker and husband Bobby of Ozark, one son, David Rogers and wife Joyce of Ozark; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be U.S. Forestry Service workers.
