Mary was the daughter of Frederick and Catherine (Switzer) Secrist. Her family moved from Frederick Co. to Yellow Spring, Hampshire Co.Va.(WV) in 1796. She married John Rudolph c.1818 and they moved to a farm near Zepp, Shenandoah Co. Va. Mary died of dropsy. She wrote her will the day she died and she left her entire estate to her daughters, Christina and Margaret. Mary and John had seven children,
1.Christina Rudolph, 1820-1903, never married. Buried in an unmarked grave at Saint James Cemetery.
2.Margaret C. Rudolph, 1822- ?, never married. Buried in an unmarked grave at Saint James Cemetery.
3. Lavina Rudolph, 1823-1916 married Lewis Orndorff, 1822-1905
4.Elizabeth Rudolph, 1825-1854, married William J. Brill, 1820-1904
5. Caroline Rudolph, 1828-1911 married George Morgan Conner, Aug.13,1829-Nov.13,1907, both are buried at St.James Cemetery.
6. George Rudolph, Sept.18,1829-Aug.18,1892. Never married.
7. Adam Rudolph, 1836-died before 1896. married Ann Rebecca Spitler, 1852-? Ann married Abraham Williams in Dec.1896.
