Albert Cole was born in Sharon, CT to David Hyde and Abigail (Williams) Cole. He was a farmer all his life and apparently farmed his great grandfather Caleb Cole's property in Sharon for many years. Albert married Mary Root of Sharon about 1834. They had two daughters, Arzilla and Mary Ellen Cole. Mary died as an infant and Arzilla died at age 35. Albert died at age 77 and his wife Mary died a few years later. The family is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Sharon, CT. in an out-of-the-way area. The gravestone is barely legible and the top portion (oblisk shaft) may be missing. There are two large Cole family plots in this cemetery, but Albert and his family are not close to either of them.
