Elmer Westfall was a son of Charles Westfall and his wife, Viola Niblack. He was married to Bertha Karhl, daughter of Helmut Karhl and his wife, Minnie Gates.
Obituary in the Plymouth Mail newspaper dated Thurs. Sept. 6 1951 reads:
"Masonic services were held Wed., Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. from the Schrader Funeral home for Elmer Westfall who passed away Monday morning, Sept. 3, at age 63, after a long illness. Mrs. Westfall resided at 41130 E. Ann Arbor Trail and had been a life-time resident of Plymouth and vicinity.
"Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bertha Westfall, and his son, Warren Westfall, of Plymouth. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Nellie Lau of Belleville, Mrs. Clara Bunyea, William Westfall and Charles Westfall, all of Plymouth, as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
"Mr. Westfall was a member of the Plymouth Rock Lodge No. 47 F & A.M. He was employed by the Ford Motor Co.
"Rev. Henry J. Walch, D.D. officated, and services were also under the auspices of the Plymouth Rock Lodge No. 47 F & A.M. Hymns were rendered on the organ by Mrs. Alta Woodworth. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
