He was a member of the Greater Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors included his wife, Lizzie Mae Thomas Hair of Fort Pierce; sons, Samuel Hair III and Kenny Hair, both of Miami; stepson, Edward Thomas of Hobbs, N.M.; daughters, Samantha Hair of Gainesville, Shelia Hair, Sonja Curry and Karen Briggs, all of Fort Pierce, Karen Hair of Miami and Sherrill Hamilton of Cleveland; brother, Donald Hair of Lincoln, Calif.; sister, Glady Bennett of Fort Pierce; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Hair, Sr. and Annie Mae Thompkins Hair; son, Dwayne Deleon; brother, Alfred Hair; and sisters, Arlene Moore, Thelma Lawrence, and Alonia Webb.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. April 1 and April 2 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. April 2 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery.
