Gladys Hair Bennett, 79, of Fort Pierce, FL passed on Monday May 23, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce.
She was born on January 20, 1937 in Fort Pierce, FL a native of Saint Lucie County.
Gladys was a retired educator of the Saint Lucie County School Board.
Survivors include her son, Johnny Bennett II, of Delray Beach, FL; daughters, Tina Bennett of Fort Pierce, FL, Vicki Russ of Boca Raton, FL, Pearl Jones of Jacksonville, Pamela Payne of St. John, US Virgin Island; brother, Donald Hair of Lincoln, CA; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Mae Thompkins and Samuel Hair.
Visitation will be held 3 to 7PM Friday May 27, 2016 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:30PM Saturday May 28, 2016 at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 921 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
