Etta was the daughter of William and Ellen Barnett Mitchell. She and Thomas were married 28 December 1898 in Muskingum County, Ohio.

Funeral Services Will Be
Held Tuesday at Home
and Ark Springs

Mrs. Etta Drake, age 61 years, wife of Thomas Drake, died at her home near Young Hickory Sunday after a three years' illness from complications.
Mrs. Drake spent most of her life in Meigs township and was a member of Oakland M. P. church.
Surviving are her husband and the following children, Mary of the home, Maud Sutton, Chandlersville, Fred of High Hill; twelve grandchildren, her aged father, William Mitchell, one sister, Eva Mitchell, two half-brothers, William and Myron Hyett and a host of friends. One son Ralph, preceded her in death five months ago after accidentally shooting himself with a shotgun.
Short services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock preceding funeral services at Ark Springs church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in the church cemetery,
