A long term resident of Bethesda, Maryland and Fairfax, Virginia since 1945 passed away in Arlington County, Virginia, where she has lived in her final years in the Sunrise at Bluemont. She was a writer who specialized in poetry for many years. She is the daughter of Grant Earl Mouser, Jr., a Congressman from Marion, Ohio where Gwendolen was born and daughter of Hilda Gorham Mouser. She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse B. Gay, Capt. USN in 2006.
Gwendolen is survived by four sons, Sands Irani M.D. and wife Maureen, Geoffrey Irani and wife Patricia, Terence Irani and wife Dianne and Grant Irani and wife Susan; one daughter, Gwendolen Underwood and husband, Keith.
