HILDA KENYON GORHAM MOUSER CRENSHAW

Hilda Kenyon Gorham Mouser Crenshaw, 92, a member of the Altar Guild at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Washington, died of cardiac arrest Dec. 28 at the Bethesda Retirement and Nursing Center.

Mrs. Crenshaw, who lived in Bethesda, was born in New Rochelle, N.Y., and attended high school in Marion, Ohio.

She lived in Washington from 1929 to 1933 when her husband, Rep. Grant E. Mouser Jr. (R-Ohio), was serving in Congress. He died in 1943.

Five years later she married the Rev. Claire T. Crenshaw and accompanied him to Oregon. That marriage ended in divorce.

In 1968, Mrs. Crenshaw returned to the East Coast, and she had lived in the Washington area since 1971.

She had traveled extensively. She also knit clothing, and made rugs and stuffed animals.

Survivors include three children from her first marriage, Gwendolen Mouser Gay of McLean (Virginia), Grant E. Mouser III of Williamsburg (Virginia) and Harold Gorham Mouser of Oak Park, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
