MUSCATINE,Iowa - Bessie Aletha Corder, 102, passed away Feb. 24, 2011, at All American Care, in Muscatine.
The Rev. Mary Howell will officiate the services.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the New Hope United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Corder was born April 10,1908, the daughter of Frank and Mary Elizabeth (Shaughnessy) Browning in Louisa County. She married Logan Corder Oct. 31,1928, in Muscatine.
She was affiliated with the New Hope United Methodist Church.
She worked in various Button factories in Muscatine. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and was known for her pie crusts and pear pie. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Betty McKillip; grandchildren, Steven McKillip and wife, Barbara and Linda Adams and husband, Dan, all of Muscatine; two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Sarah McKillip; and two step great-grandchildren, Corey Adams and wife, Annie and Aaron Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight sisters and a brother.
