Harold Braithwaite, 79, of Salt Lake City, died April 5, 1992.

He was born March 26, 1913, to Lyness R. and Ane Christine Larsen Braithwaite in Spanish Fork, Utah. He married Joyce Craig Rankin, March 24, 1946, in Sydney, Australia.

He became a machinist upon returning to Utah and followed that trade later in California, and in Salt Lake City.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed gardening, and going to the temple.

He is survived by his wife of Salt Lake City; two grandsons; two brothers, Leonard R. Braithwaite, Provo; Elmo Braithwaite, Spanish Fork.

He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Harold William Braithwaite, who died in Australia in June, 1990.

Funeral will be Thursday at noon in the Salt Lake City Brighton 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 2327 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South), with a viewing at the chapel at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in the Spanish Fork Cemetery, Spanish Fork, Utah, under the direction of Memorial Estates, Salt Lake City.
