Grandma Russell was born and raised in Detroit, the last daughter and child of Ira Apger and Elizabeth Foster. She married George Russell June 19 1894 in Essex, Ontario, Canada. At least two children were born in Detroit. Six children were born after the family moved to the Nankin area. Conrad, Helen, Tom, and George remained in the Wayne area. Lillian & Pete moved to CA. Gen moved to Jackson. Of the two grandchildren she raised, Bud and family moved to TX; Russelle and family remained in the Wayne area.
