Mrs. Minerva Boughton died at her home in this place Tuesday evening, September 2 of acute nephritis. She was 81 years old and was born in Castile, January 12, 1828. She was united in marriage to John M. Boughton on April 5, 1857.
Mrs. Boughton was a lifelong member of the Baptist church and one of the well known residents of this section where she had spent all of her life. The funeral was held from the house, 42 Leicester street, Sunday afternoon, Rev. C. H. Dibble officiating in the absence of her pastor, Rev. C. O. Graeber. The floral tributes were beautiful in expression of the esteem and love in which she was held. Burial was made in Hope Cemetery.
Two daughters survive, Mrs. Elsie B. Watson and Mrs. Frances L. Rudgers.
