Mrs. Boughton was a lifelong member of the Baptist church and one of the well known residents of this section where she had spent all of her life. The funeral was held from the house, 42 Leicester street, Sunday afternoon, Rev. C. H. Dibble officiating in the absence of her pastor, Rev. C. O. Graeber. The floral tributes were beautiful in expression of the esteem and love in which she was held. Burial was made in Hope Cemetery.
Two daughters survive, Mrs. Elsie B. Watson and Mrs. Frances L. Rudgers.
