James Marion Corbin was born in Kansas on January 14, 1875 to John Anderson Corbin and Catherine (Spurrier) Corbin.
Prior to 1900 he farmed with his father. On the 1900 Census he was living with a family in Clay County Kansas, and working as their servant.
James married Nettie M (Hertje) Corbin, and together they raised two children, Virgil R. Corbin, and Vera Corbin.
By 1910, James went back to farming in Round Grove Oklahoma, in a later Census in 1930, he was a delivery man.
He died in Oklahoma on March 21, 1963.
