Alexander McIntosh, for many years a resident of Rathmel, and well known locally, died at seven o'clock Sunday morning, January 27th, 1929 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Painter, of Brookville. He was aged eighty-five. The deceased was born in Town Hill, Scotland, in 1844 and came to this country forty-seven years ago with his wife and children. He resided at Rathmel for many years, he being one of that community's highly esteemed citizens. His wife died there eighteen years ago.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church of Town Hill, Scotland.
He leaves one son, John, of Illinois, and four daughters, Mrs. Mary Painter, of Brookville; Mrs. Jennie Bowser, of Rathmel; Mrs. Margaret Gricks, of New Castle and Mrs. Catherine Lyons, of Pittsburgh.
Funeral services will be held this (Wednesday) afternoon at the Painter home in Brookville and interment will be in Beulah cemetery, in Reynoldsville.
