Mrs. Jean McIntosh, wife of Alexander McIntosh, of Rathmel, died at her home in that place Wednesday morning, February 1st. She had been ill with diabetes for a long period, but it was an attack of gangrene that ended her life. She was 64 years 7 months, and 11 days old at the time of death. The funeral conducted by Dr. A.J. Meek, of the Baptist church, was held Friday and burial, under direction of Hughes & Fleming, was made in the Beulah cemetery at Reynoldsville.
Mrs. McIntosh was very highly esteemed among her friends and neighbors and was an excellent woman in every respect. She is survived by her husband and the following sons and daughters: William McIntosh, of Marion, Ill., Mrs. Maggie Gricks, of New Castle, Pa., Mrs. James Painter and Mrs. George Bowser, of Rathmel.
