Graveside services for Mrs. Abbie Carter Burnett, 95, of North Augusta, S.C., who entered into rest May 12, 2013, will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 o'clock in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia, Ala.
Mrs. Burnett was a native of Calhoun City, Miss., a former resident of the Shoals area for 69 years, having made North Augusta her home for the past ten years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tuscumbia, Ala., where she served as a member of the Administrative Board, Church Hostess, Church Treasurer and President of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Leta Burnett, North Augusta, S.C.; two grandchildren, Steven C. Burnett and wife, Laura, Augusta, Ga., and Julia L. Atwood and husband Brian, Charleston, S.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 104 East Third Street, Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
Colbert Memorial Chapel of the Shoals is assisting the family.
