Funeral services for Lawrence Cooper, age 92 of Olla, LA, will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 17, 2013 at the chapel of Olla Funeral Home with Rev. David McGuffee officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, LA.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2013 evening at the chapel of Olla Funeral Home from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Mr. Lawrence was born in Gueydon, LA on January 7, 1921 and passed from this life on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania, LA. He worked for OlinKraft Inc. in West Monroe, LA and was a M.P. for the Army-Air Force in Okinawa, Japan. He enjoyed antiquing.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ludie Cooper; his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his son, Donald Cooper and wife, Gail of Jena,; sister, Gladys Mobley of Crowley, LA; two grandchildren: Gayla Dunn and husband, Joe and Justin Cooper and wife, Misty; four great-grandchildren: Katelynn Cooper, Peyton Cooper, Melinda Dunn and Nathan Dunn; and special friend, Mary Strachan.

Pallbearers will be Bo Auttonberry, Mike Auttonberry, Terry Bratton, Joe Dunn, Justin Cooper and Sonny Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry McNeal and J.D. Frazier.
