Born c.1758, Mrs. Canfield, nee Rhoda Baldwin, died at the age of 57. She was the wife of Ebenezer Canfield the younger, a veteran of the American Revolutionary War, and the mother of their eight children. According to an early Canfield family history, she was interred in the old churchyard in Orange. Her husband, who survived her by almost 16 years, joined her here in 1831.
