He was born October 26, 1875, Waldwick township. He farmed in the Mineral Point area, his entire life. He and his wife attained local fame for their musical talents, having played the fiddle and piano for numerous dances. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Lynch.; one daughter, Mrs. Ed McGraw, two grandsons and one brother, Byron Stevens, all of Mineral Point.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday [Ma6 1, 1951] at 9:15 at the Grogan Funeral Home and at 9:30 at St. Paul's Church. Fr. Paul S. Croke officiated, with burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Mineral Point.
