1920 - Daytona Census, John F. 39, Mollie, 38, Georgine 15, Evelyn 10, Blair 4y 6m, Jack 1y 5m.

1925/26 - December 29 --- Corry Journal - "Mrs. Frank Wilcox entertained twelve guest yesteday afternoon at her home honoring her niece, Miss Evelyn Sheely. Bridge was the diverse and awards were given ... a very happy time was enjoyed."

1929 - April 1 --- Corry Journal - "Miss Evelyn Sheeley returned to Indiana Normal School early this morning to resume her studies. She spent the past several days in the city at her home."

1930 - Corry Census, Evelyn 19, Blair 14, living in household of Lizzie Fox Sheely, head of household, 73 and Carrie Fox 68.

1933 - "The East Branch correspondence of the Titusville Herald reports the destruction a few days ago of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pierce at that place and the additional information that Miss Evelyn Sheely who boarded at the Pierce home, lost everything she had except the clothes she was wearing. Miss Sheely, a Corry girl, teaches school at East Branch."

1936 - June 20 --- Corry Journal - "CORBIN SHEELY WEDDING TODAY - Popular Young Couple Married at Warren Church This Morning.

Miss Evelyn Sheely, of East Main Street, became the bride of Percy Corbin, son of A.B. Corbin, of East Washington street. at a quiet ceremony performed at the Episcopal Church in Warren, at 10:30 o'clock this morning by Rev. E.T. Wroth.

Miss Sheely was lovely in a white canton crepe gown, with white acessories, and her flowers were purple violets and yellow roses ... attendants Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sweet ...

After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Corbin left by motor for Atlanta, GA, where they will be guests of Mrs. Corbin's sister, Mrs. George Archibald and family. Upon their return to Corry the popular young couple will reside at 319 East Washington street, where a newly decorated home awaits them.

The bride, a graduate of the Corry High school and Indiana State Teachers College is a former teacher in the Junior High school, retiring at the close of this term. Mr. Corbin also graduated from Corry High and is a sales representative of the W.W. Waterhouse Garage ..."

"Evelyn S. Corbin of Columbus died last night at Hamot Medical Center, where she was admitted on Labor day.

Mrs. Corbin was born December 28, 1909 in Corry having graduated from Corry Area High School in 1928 and later from Indiana State [Pa.} Teacher's College. She taught in Spring Creek for six years and for 19 years at Wright School, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Geneva Circle of the church, the Corry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Retired School Employees Association and the Country Club Bridge Association.

She was preceded in death by a sister Mrs. Georgine Archibald. She is survived by her husband, Percy E. Corbin, one son ... a daughter; ..., two brothers, John Sheeley, Atlanta, Ga., and Blair Sheely of Eureka, Cal., four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."

Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home tomorrow from 1 - 2 p.m. and attend services there 2 p.m., with the Rev. John Robison of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the West Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. The family request memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the charity of ones choice."
