The Rev. Leland W. Brignall, pastor at Allentown, New York, recently underwent a series of successful operations on his throat and nose at Good Shepherd Hospital at Syracuse.
"He was boyish and enthusiastic - his well-remembered insistance upon prefixing "First" to Methodist Episcopal, in referring to the church was not without precedent - it is so deeded in the deed of the premises in 1864 by Anson G. Conger, trustee."
