ALBERT SCHAEFFER - Funeral services for Albert Schaeffer, 60, who died Friday, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 in Gardner fneral chapel, with teh Rev. L.E. Ellison, pastor Erie Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Albert Clayton Schaeffer was born June 22, 1891 in Schuylkill Haven PA, the son of Henry and Caroline Rhine Schaeffer. He attended schools in PA and moved to IL when he was 16. He was of Lutheran faith and was a farmer. He was married to Clara Sippel Feb. 22, 1912. She died Feb. 22, 1927. He was married to Mrs. Lena Mathews of Erie in 1935. She survives with two sons, Ira E. of Erie and Clarence H. of Prophetstown, two step-daughters, Mrs. Wm. Hummel of Lyndon and Audrey Mathews of San Antonio, TX, four brothers, George, Robert and Howard of PA and Harry of Spring Hill, three sisters, Ella, Sally and Minnie, all of PA and 10 granchildren. He was preced by his parents, a daughter who died in infancy, a step-son who was killed in WW 2 and four sisters.
