Anette was born to Randolph Boone and Mary Davis on March 25th, 1951. She was raised on a farm in Bailey, North Carolina. It was a very rural area. Her family grew tobacco and raised chickens and pigs. She had Polio as a child, which left her temporarily paralyzed and unable to use her legs. She spoke about how she grew up without plumbing, and having to use an outhouse growing up. Anette attended Spaulding High School during segregation. Her senior class transferred to Southern Nash High School once school's integrated, which is where she graduated. She gave birth to her first son, Brian, in Silver Springs, Maryland in 1971. They later relocated to Romulus, Michigan, where she had her second child, Stefan. Anette attended Detroit College of Business, earning her Associate's degree in Accounting. All while raising her two sons as a single mother and working. She was known for driving her 1970's Camaro around, along with her dog Lady. She moved to Suitland, Maryland when her youngest son was in high school. She took a government job in Washington D.C., and later transferred to Airlines Reporting Corporation. She met many friends there. She enjoyed her work. Anette collected porcelain dolls, and enjoyed traveling. Sadly, Anette, a lifelong non-smoker, fell victim to stage IV Lung adenocarcinoma, in fall of 2003. She fought hard for nearly 3 years, but eventually succumbed to the disease. She became very active in her church in the last few years of her life. She attended From the Heart Ministries, in Temple Hills, Maryland. She requested her service to be held there. Pastor John Cherry officiated. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Laura), Stefan, four grandchildren, Brianne', Brian, LaNichol, and Alysha, as well as her mother, and many siblings and friends.
