Mrs. Virginia E. Liggett, 52, of 2550 Deerford ave SW, Massillon (Moffitt Heights) wife of James O. Liggett died early today in the Massillon City Hospital where she was a patient since Monday. Her death followed a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Liggett was born at Columbus and resided in the Massillon area the past 24 years. She was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple.
In addition to her husband, her survivors include two sons, David M. and Paul E. Liggett, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Jane Thornburry of Mansfield and Mrs. Shirley Nofziger of Archbold; and three brothers, Norman Moore of Minford, Scioto County, Richard Moore of Plain Grove, Utah and Donald Moore of Massillon.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Gordon-Shaidnagle-Hollinger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bruce D. Cummons, D.D., her pastor, officiating. Interment will be made in Brookfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
