Paul was the eldest of five children born in Clay County, Texas to Burder Roscoe "Bird" and Dillah Allen Teague.

Paul was working as a clerk in Henrietta Texas as a young man (probably in a bank) when Edna and some friends came in. He took a look at her and said "I'm going to marry that girl!" He did.

Paul and Edna raised their four children - Melton, Vanice, Paul Jr., and June - in WIchita Falls, Texas. They retired in Colorado.

Paul and Edna built their home on 26th Street in Boulder, Colorado, between about 1956 and 1958, using funds from Edna's commissions on real estate sales. When she got a commission, they'd buy as much lumber and other supplies as they could, and Paul built most of the house with a Sears combination 8" saw and a 4" joiner. (Paul's eldest son Melton, inherited those tools.) The house was on an acre and had a flattop roof, was about 1600 sq. ft., with two fireplaces, back-to-back. When Paul died in 1964, Edna sold the house and bought a condo in Windsor Gardens in Denver, where she lived until she died in 1985.
