ELLAVILLE- Mae DeVane Dillard, 96, of Rt. 1, Ellaville, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1993 at Sumter Regional Hospital.
Services will be held 3. p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Schley County. The Rev. Vance Riggins will officiate and burial will follow in the Ellaville Cemetery.
Mrs. Dillard was born April 22, 1896 in Schley County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. DeVane. She lived in Schley County most of her life and was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Pearl B. Dillard and was preceded in death by a son, Ansel J. Dillard, in 1986
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Alice Benefield of Ellaville, Mrs. Ida Storey and Mrs. Marguerite D. Etheridge, both of Americus; one son Joseph W. "Buddy" Dillard of Rt. 1 Cobb, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
