ELMER MARTIN WHIPP, well known retired jeweler, died at his home 216 East Franklin Street Thursday morning of complications after an illness of complications after an illness of two years, aged 78 years.
He was born at Braddock Heights, son of George C. and Annie (Morrison) Whipp. He had been living here for the past 50 years. He is survived by wife, Mrs. Sarah Ann (Pentz) Whipp; sons, George H., Pittsburgh; Herbert P., Hagerstown; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, W. Calvin Whipp, Washington; Arthur Whipp, Frederick.
The body was taken to the A. K. Coffman funeral home where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Dr. F. Berry Plummer officiating; interment in Rest Haven Cemetery.
