Obituary:
Mrs. Mary C. Nicholson, formerly of Comus, wife of the late George E. Nicholson, and daughter of the late George C. and Mary J. Whitt (sic, should be Whipp), died at her home in Poolesville at the age of 87.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Annie E. Ward of Gaithersburg, Mrs. Alice R. Ward of Poolesville, Mrs. Myrtle Ward of Comus and Mrs. Frances Jones of Poolesville; three sons, John E. Nicholson of Frederick, George A. Nicholson of Ladiesburg, and Earle C. (sic, Earle E) Nicholson of Urbana; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ellie Miss and Mrs. Viola Fox both of Frederick, brothers, James Whitt (sic, Whipp) and Maurice Whitt (sic, Whipp), both of Frederick.
Friends may call at the Hilton Funeral Home in Barnsville today from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. H. L. Sparks will officiate. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery in Beallsville.
