Anna was born in Borzyszkowy Parish, Lipnica, Bytow, Pomorskie, Poland. Her parents were Ignatz Rutz (Ruca), born in the same area and buried in the original Flensburg cemetery, and Marianna Ryngwelska (1830-1873) who was born and died in the same part of Poland.

Anna and her family arrived at the Port of Baltimore, MD, on Nov. 19, 1882 and were living in Pike Creek Township, Morrison County, MN during the 1885 MN census.

She married Simon Wielinski, Sr. during 1886 in the Sobieski Catholic Church as Flensburg did not yet have their own church. They farmed and raised their family in Pike Creek Township until 1930 when Simon retired and the couple moved to Little Falls, MN. Simon died two years later. The 1940 census had Anna living next to her son Valentine and his family, back in Pike Creek. She died in Little Falls on Oct. 4, 1956.
