Teddy McClellan, 78, died Monday, November 3, 2008 at Craven Regional Medical Center after a long battle with multiple myeloma.

He was born June 5, 1930 in Waynesburg, PA of Sudie Virginia Patterson McClellan and Benjamin Franklin McClellan, Jr.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Company K, 110th infantry, which was activated during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Veterans and American Legion.

Mr. McClellan was a member of Order of the Elks, Moose Lodge, Lions Club. For many years he was active in the Instrument Society of America and published several articles. In the early 1960's he was chosen by the Foxboro Company, along with several others, to move the company into the digital age. He was in the forefront of modernization of plant instrumentation.

He was a descendent of revolutionary patriots, James Seals, William "Doc" McClelland, James Patterson and Ephriam Woodruff. He was a proud member of Sons of the American Revolution.

He was also a charter member of the Greene County Historical Society and charter member of Clan McClellan America.

He was a pilot for several years, loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was an avid golfer.

He was the owner of Teddy Bear's Computers and Teddy Bear's Country Corner in East Texas. He retired to New Bern in 1996 and has attended Garber United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Mary Taylor McClellan; two daughters, Donna Jean McClellan of Owasso, OK and Linda Kay McClellan of Nashville, Tennessee, all of whom were privileged to be with him during his final days. He will be missed by his beloved cavaliar spaniel, Sudie. His family at Roy's Restaurant, that fed his body and spirit were very special to him, along with family and friends from Greenbriar.
