We are pained to announce the death of Mr. Draper Ruggles, which occurred at his residence, on Catherine Street, Monday, as a result of a long standing and painful disease.
Mr. Ruggles has spent his entire active life in Worcester, coming here as a young man fom the town of Westborough, where he was born in the year 1800.
From the first he has been identified with the mechanical industries of the place and was one of the few who aided in giving Worcester its early impetus in that dirrection... (here follows an extensive listing of his business activities.)
Mr. Ruggles leaves a family of daughters, one of whom is the wife of ex-Senator Corbett of Oregon.
