Isaac D. Ruggles Passes Away in Chicago -- Owns Considerable Property about this City

In the "Genesee Republic," published at Genesea, Ill., appears an account of a a death which will be received with surprise and sorrow by man friends of the deceased in Tampa....
Deceased was a native of Vermont, born in Rutland, June 17, 1823. He represented one of the most prominent names in the business history of the east, his father, Draper Ruggles, being the senior member of the firm of Ruggles, Mourse & Mason, the pioneer manufacturers of agricultural machinery of the American continent. At the age of eighteen deceased became a sailor and entered the merchant service....

In 1846 he was married to Catherine G. Crawford, at Worcester, MA....

Of the six children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ruggles, all of whom survive but one, Edward A., resides in Genesee. The others and their present homes are as follows: Mrs. Ella Bensley, Tyler, Wash.; Mrs. Ella Scott, Chicago; Henry, in Denver; William, in Chicago; and Mrs. Emma Flint, in Escanaba, Mich.
