QUINCY HERALD-WHIG, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 28, 1926
Mathew Henry Faber, well known among the wood working trade in Quincy, died at St. Mary's hospital at 11:15 o'clock, Monday night, aged 71 years. He came to Quincy from Oswego, Ill., with his parents when a small child. He was born in Oswego, February 17, 1855.....After attending the public schools in Quincy he learned the cabinet making trade and first work for the Knittel Show Case company, where he stayed 14 years. Afterward he was employed by the Wolf Manufacturing Industries and later for the Huck manufacturing company, where he worked until a year ago......He leaves two daughters, Leona and Helen, who are now residents of St. Joseph's home. His wife died eight years ago.
