Mary Walker was my great-great grandmother. The daughter of Irish immigrants, she was born in Johnsonville in 1851. She married Solomon Walker on December 27, 1873 in Cambridge, NY and had 7 kids, 6 surviving to adulthood. They were Anna Mary Thomas (1875-1939), Lester Moses Walker (1878-1958), William Mack Walker (1880-1951), Rev. George Solomon Walker (1882-1974), Nellie C. Walker (1883-1886), James Edward Walker (1887-1957), and Frank Buckley Walker (1889-1963). After Solomon's untimely death of consumption in 1895, her sons helped her work on their farm. She died in 1922 while living with her son Lester and is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Washington County, NY.
