Edward Pleasant, 54, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 1996, at Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 25 in the Glenn Dale Augustus Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Larry D. Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery, Hitchcock.
Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m., today. The wake will follow from 7 to 8 p-m.
Mr. Pleasant was born May 15,1942, in Galveston. He was a 1961 graduate of P.L. Dunbar High School, Dickinson. He was a resident of Dickinson and Galveston during his childhood. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include wife, Linda Pleasant, Los Angeles; sons, Clifford Ennis Pleasant, Sr.,of Texas City and Norris Avery
Pleasant of California; daughters, Trina Pleasant and Valarie Pleasant, both of California; step-father, Edward Simmons, Galveston; 5 brothers; 15 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
