"Mrs Beulah Schmelzer - Services for Mrs Beulah Schmelzer, aged 92, will be conducted at 10 am today at the home of her son, Carl J Schmelzer, on the Grandview road near Oil City and interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Spartansburg. Mrs Schmelzer died at the home of her son Saturday evening. She was born in Crawford county, January 30, 1851, a daughter of Mr and Mrs James Smith. In 1874 she was married to Gustav Schmelzer and they lived in Spartansburg until his death in 1927, when she went to live with the son. Besides the son, she leaves a grandson, Harold C Wescott of Kenmore, NY, a half-brother, George Smith of Union City, and two half-sisters, Mrs H Hubbell and Mrs Lee Danner of Lincolnville. She was a member of Hassen Heights United Presbyterian church."
