She was a 40 year member of First Baptist Church, Danville. She had worked as a waitress for the Town House, Bun Boy, Beaumont, Danville Country Club and Holiday Inn restaurants. She loved to garden, cook from scratch and can what she grew.
She is survived by her husband, Ollie Young;
one son, David Bugg;
two daughters, Sharon (Calvin) Taylor and Jessica Taylor (Grant) Smith;
two step sons, Michael (Crystal) Young and Marcus Young;
one step daughter, Angela Young (Carl) Larson;
2 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren;
four brothers, Glenn Turpin, Bobby Turpin, Jackie (Sharon) Turpin and Stanley Turpin;
two sisters, Kathy (Hayden) King and Deloise (Harold) Hendren.
She was predeceased by
her first husband Melvin Bugg;
a brother and sister, Leonard Turpin and Edith Turpin.
