Anna Lee Dodson Turpin, age 85, of Charleston Health Care Center of Danville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 8 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville, Kentucky.

She was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on January 15, 1917, the daughter of the late Marshall and Jessie Kendrick Dodson.

She married Robert Lee Turpin, who preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1985.

She is survived by eight children, Janet Lane Bugg Young, Sarah Katherine King, Delores Hendren, Leonard Turpin, Glenn Harold Turpin, Stanley Turpin, Bobby Turpin and Jackie Dean Turpin; 24 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is one daughter, Edith G. Coffey.

She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Sept. 12 with burial in the Dodson Family Cemetery in Wayne County, Ky.
