She moved to Connecticut at the age of 21, where she had resided ever since. She was a loving mother and homemaker in Bolton, until retiring to her summer home in Woodstock in 1969. She lived her last six years in Mystic.
Betty loved wildlife and the out of doors. She was an avid boater and loved to fish. She was forced to give up swimming three times a week when she could no longer drive.
Predeceased by son, Raymond C. Lewis, and a brother, Karl Tieber
