Mrs. Anna H. Mulder, age 75, of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11 , at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City, after a long illness.
Anna was born May 13, 1909, in Allegan County, Michigan, the daughter of Frank Hartog and Marie Spijker Hartog. As a young child she moved to northwest Iowa with her parents.
On January 1, 1940, she married Jacob G. Mulder at Sanborn. They made their home in Seney. Mr. Mulder passed away Sept. 26, 1973, after which Mrs. Mulder moved to Orange City.
Since the fall of 1977 she has resided at the Pioneer Memorial Home and at the Heritage House, both in Orange City.
In earlier years Mrs. Mulder had been employed in the housekeeping departments of Westmar College in LeMars and the Heritage House.
She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Orange City and had been a member of the church's Faith, Hope and Love Society.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 14 at the First Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. Thomas C. Vanden Heuvel officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce A., of Lansing, Ill., and Mrs. Peter (June) De Haan, of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Patricia and Daniel; two brothers, Cornie Hartog of Sanborn and Garriet Hartog of Artesia, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Ed (Dora) Koldenhoven, of Loveland, Colo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
