Louis L. Mueller, 70, W2748 Mueller Road, Hilbert, died Sunday afternoon April 20, at Appleton Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Mr. Mueller was born January 16, 1916, at rural Sherwood, son of the late Peter and Anna Lettler Mueller. He attended Sherwood Grade School and was a resident of Calumet County his entire life.

On May 9, 1946 he married the former Angeline Wolfinger at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Darboy. The couple farmed in the town of Chilton. Mrs. Mueller died August 8, 1962.

Mr. Mueller is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary Jane) Herregis of Madison, and Carol Mueller of Sun Prairie; two sons, David and Carol of Hilbert and James and Noel of Manitowoc; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Erna Koehler of Hilbert and Mrs. Arnold (Madeline Geiser of Chilton; and five brothers, Peter of Appleton, Jacob of Sherwood, Fred of Kaukauna, Hilary of Stockbridge and Raymond of Chilton.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, two step-sisters and a step-brother.

The funeral Mass was Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. The Rev. Anthony Birdsall, pastor, was celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
