Erma F. Koehler, 96, of Hilbert died on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Homestead Care Center in New Holstein.
She was born March 20, 1913 in Sherwood, daughter of the Peter & Anna (Lettler) Mueller. She married Peter Koehler on October 17, 1935 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. He preceded her in death February 21, 1962. Erma worked at Chilton Metal Products until retiring in 1975 and volunteered at St. Mary Catholic Church and the Senior Meal Site in Hilbert. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert and the Christian Mothers.
She enjoyed playing cards, did beautiful embroidery, canning, farming, and had a beautiful garden in Hilbert.
Erma is survived by her daughters: Lois (Delvin) Heimerl of Hilbert and Janice Kolbe of Chilton; 5 grandchildren: Karen Linsmeier, Ken Liebzeit, Diane (Chris) Gintner, Christine (James) Wiese, and David (Tami) Liebzeit; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren with 2 more to arrive in August; and brothers: Hillary Mueller, Ray (Rita) Mueller, and Jake (Florence) Mueller. She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law: Andrew Kolbe; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert with Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating and Rev. Tony Birdsall concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on June 30, 2009 when the service will be held.
