Urbain Baptiste Baudreau dit Graveline was born the son of Jean Baudreau & Marie Chaveau in the port town of Gravelines, France.
He came over in the "Great Recruitment of 1653" from France to settle the village of Ville-Marie, now Montreal in Canada and help secure it from the Iroquois. When his 5 years was over he returned to France in 1658, but returned in Jun 1659 to live in Canada.
He married Mathurine Marguerite Julliet on Oct 20, 1664 at the Basilique Notre-Dame.
