Nellie Jacobs BAIR married Joseph Baker McLAUGHLIN of Ross Co, Ohio on March 7, 1928, in Mount Vernon, Knox County, Ohio.
They adopted her 12 year old niece, Wilma Marie WINLAND between April 1940 and Dec 1941.
Nellie was a librarian in Holgate, OH for 10 years. Joe and Nellie McLAUGHLIN moved to Deshler, OH in the mid 1940's purchasing a home there. He died in 1973. A year or so later she moved to New Concord, OH area to be near her daughter's family where she remained until her death.

Her ashes were scattered at the McLaughlin Farm, southwest of Bainbridge, Ross Co, OH (the farm where her husband was born and raised).
