Emma Carter Hinson, 74, of Decatur, died at 12:45 o'clock Tuesday morning in the family residence. Death followed an illness of five weeks and was caused by pneumonia and complications incident to old age.
Emma McCartney, daughter of William and Angeline McCartney, was born in Kingston, O., Feb. 12, 1856.
She was married to George W. Carter Nov. 15, 1870, who. died in 1876.
Mrs. Carter was married to Solomon D. Hinson Oct. 9, 1881 in Cisco. Mr. Hinson died Sept. 21, 1919.
Mrs. Hinson had been a resident of Decatur for 10 years moving here from Cisco where she lived for 50 years.
She was a member of Grace Methodist church, and the Loyal Americans.
She leaves the following children; Clarence Carter, Georgeanna Grace Evey and Ethel Bowman; nine grandchildren; and 10, great grandchildren.
