Funeral services were held last Saturday for Edward Soccorsi of Washington avenue who died unexpectedly December 25. A native of Italy, Mr. Soccorsi was the son of the late Vincent and Filomena Soprano Soccorsi
and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nicolina Ciferri Soccorsi, his sister, Mrs. Clara Ciferri, and several nieces and nephews. He was 73 at the time of his death. Mr Soccorsi retired eight years ago from his position as tailor for
Lord and Taylor in New York City which he held for 29 years. He had made his home In New York City for 37 years prior to moving into a new home on Washington avenue eight days ago. He had operated a tailor shop some years ago in Millbrook.
