Mr. Richard Rabon, age 85 husband of the late Emma A. Rabon, of Valley Forge Road passed away June 20, 2013 at Loris Extended Care Center following an illness. Born in Horry County May 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Noah Thomas and Nancy Jean Baker Rabon. He was predeceased by one brother, Marion Thomas "M.T." Rabon and one sister in law, Mae Alford Rabon. Mr. Rabon was a retired farmer and a wonderful gardener. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Woodmen of the World Camp 502. Surviving Mr. Rabon is his sister, Eloise Rabon Johnson and her husband Carlisle of Aynor, two sisters in laws, Eula Jane Best of Conway, Mary Johnson of Georgia, one brother in law, Elbert Alford of Texas, a special person, Mary Ann Johnson and her husband Rev. Lonnie L. Johnson, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday June 23, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie L. Johnson and Rev. Dock Rabon officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
