REGISTERD NAME: Sherer Legacy's Shadow Dancin'

I've waited a year to write this as the ability just was not in me. I lost Bubba last June when he was only 5 years old. He was very sick for about 2 weeks and spent many days in the Vet Hospital. I visited him daily and was supported by a dear friend who went along to be with me in case he had not made it through any of those nights. It was a stressful time. He came home but quickly went downhill. It is believed by the people involved that tainted dog treats from China that sickened and killed so many dogs are the reason for his illness. The thought I would give him anything hurtful is a hard thing to live with for all of us who have been involved in this. There are still many Class Action Lawsuits going on about this but I chose to not be involved in them. Bubba is gone and I want to remember the love he gave and not his illness.

I got Bubba when he was 9 weeks old. From the day I got him, he had one illness after another. He had a difficult time for several months and for a while we thought he was suffering from a "Liver Shunt" and would not live but luckily, he grew out of this problem but soon had 2 sets of teeth among other minor issues and had surgery to resolve all of them at once. So... no easy puppy to raise. He had so many Vet visits throughout his life and his Vet grew to love him.

Bubba went everywhere with me. He had his own car seat until he outgrew it at about 1 year old. He slept next to where I slept and I could reach down and touch him but he would not sleep with me - period. He knew the name of each of his toys and would bring what you asked for if you'd play with him. As he became a grown up dog, Bubba was a sweet, well trained and behaved little dog. He loved our many walks at the park and he went with me on many Find A Grave photo trips. Bubba is s true "FALLEN GRAVER". He is missed by my friends and family and by the Vet and his staff. After his death, the Vet & Staff sent me a sweet and loving card for him. On the front it says:

If tears could build a stairway
and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven
and bring you home again

......they all signed it and it's now framed with his picture. It meant a lot to me.

Losing a pet is always difficult. For those of us who live alone, a pet takes on an added responsibility. It's the only other heartbeat in your home. My heart beats alone now and I really miss my Bubba. He was my last dog.

I love & miss you Bubba.....
